Michael Hill is a well-established Australian and international jewellery brand whose headquarters are based in Brisbane. At Engagis, we work with many well-known Australian companies across a wide range of AV and workplace technology services. The brief from Michael Hill was to deliver and update their workplace and meeting room conferencing technology for their new headquarters in Brisbane, which would house 280 of their employees.


The main goal for Michael Hill as a company was to fit out their new office in Cannon Hill with the highest quality workplace and conferencing technology, to help improve staff collaboration and productivity. Engagis’s scope to help Michael Hill achieve its workplace transformation objectives included solution design completion, solution engineering, and installation and support of the technology across their meeting rooms, small huddle spaces and large town hall spaces.

Solution Details

Specific solutions delivered included a large projection-based Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) in both a divisible training room and town hall space. We also fitted 7 teams rooms of various medium, large, and extra-large sizes, and multiple smaller BYO huddle spaces. This included QSC audio and AV over IP transport and control for all spaces, Sennheiser microphones for audio capture, Samsung displays, NEC projectors, and Screen Technics Screens and lifters.

Engagis were faced with a number of significant challenges around stock availability due to the ongoing global supply chain crisis, as well as a delivery timeline with no buffer for delays. To combat this, Engagis leveraged our vendor relationships and engineering resources and worked up until the final weeks of delivery to develop a deliverable solution without any compromise to functionality or quality.


Michael Hill was delighted with the outcome of this project as we were able to demonstrate our technical proficiency and a high ability to identify and manage risks. In addition to this, we thoroughly understood the company’s needs alongside the scope of the project and were able to work through a number of coordination challenges that are typical of construction projects. The job was completed promptly and the fit-out has been used seamlessly since with no issues.
