Surf n Fries
Surf n Fries commenced operations in Croatia tens years ago and now operates in fifteen countries worldwide. The secret of their success lies in their quality ingredients, extensive range of sauces and clever ?packaging? that allows customers to take away a meal, drinks and fries in a single container and eat while they walk around. Perfect for eating on the beach.
They launched their first Australian quick service restaurant at the iconic Bondi Beach in November 2018.
Surf n Fries has aggressive growth plans, predicated on the success of the Bondi restaurant.
Surf n Fries had several challenges in terms of making their first Australian quick service restaurant successful.
- How to easily, quickly and cost-effectively update and enhance the menu boards, particularly during the initial phase when the menu was evolving
- How to attract the attention of passersby and drive traffic into the store
- How to simplify the ordering process
- How to maximise the value of each order by showcasing and recommending options
Surf n Fries created a prominent digital menu board by joining together three commercial grade screens from Engagis. They are mounted in a row across the back of the store, behind the serving counter. All the various menu options and prices are shown and clearly laid out to make it easy for customers to be able to build their own order.
In addition to the menu and pricing, video content brings the menu to life making the food even more enticing. ?This captures the attention of people walking past and encourages people to add more items to their order.
Surf n Fries Bondi quick service restaurant is up and running and customers are enjoying the great good, personalised service and the convenience of being able to eat in – at the surf-themed tables – or taking their food away and enjoying the Bondi lifestyle.
The menu continues to evolve and changes can be made instantly to the menu boards. Surf n Fries is looking forward to rolling out more stores across Australia.
